I asked myself this question after watching Iran's ridiculously comical PSA video (see below)

According to the Wall Street Journal, Gene Sharp is an aging academic who's "writings on nonviolent resistance have been studied by opposition activists in Zimbabwe, Burma, Russia, Venezuela and Iran, among others."

Sharp's 1993 "guide to unseating despots, From Dictatorship to Democracy, has been translated into at least 28 languages and was used by movements that toppled governments in Serbia, Ukraine, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan."

The book is worth a look at, it's only 90 pages and is highly readable.  You can view it for free here.

Happy overthrowing!
