While it isn't exactly an IR poem it was written by a Syrian diplomat and is breathtakingly beautiful. For me, that's justification enough to post it. Enjoy.

Light is more important than the lantern,
The poem more important than the notebook,
And the kiss more important than the lips.

Where people will discover
