We here at Politics by Other Means are excited to welcome Joseph Pinilla, who will be contributing posts focused on the former Soviet Union. Joe spent the past two years living in Moscow, and is a fluent Russian speaker. He has a BA in History and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania. 

Joe currently lives in London, where he is pursuing a Masters in Comparative Politics at the London School of Economics. His hobbies include loving freedom and asking people whether they think George W. Bush was a great president, or the GREATEST president.
