Evan is a 2009-2010 Fulbright Fellow living in Baku, Azerbaijan where he researches western democracy promotion efforts. Previously, he lived in Istanbul, Turkey where he studied at Bogazici University, worked for Ihlas News Agency (Ihlas Haber Ajansi or IHA), and conducted research at Sabanci University's Istanbul Policy Center.

Evan is a proud Hiram College Terrier. A remarkably small school with a remarkably bad football team that will give you a damn good education.

In addition to obsessing over international politics, Evan likes to cook comfort food, work on his 1980 Zhiguli 011, and listen to music that sounds like this.
